Volkswagen will run two new ads during the Super Bowl Sunday broadcast on American television.

Volkswagen of America will pay dearly to air two 30-second spots - one for the all-new North American Passat model and one for the 2012 Beetle - which will run during the second and fourth quarters of the game.

The Passat commercial features a Star Wars theme and was produced with the help of Lucasfilm Ltd., George Lucas' production company. The visuals are accompanied by the well-known "Imperial
