At the sixth stage of the Tour of Utah, the Irish rider Matt Brammeier (MTN-Qhubeka) suffered a heavy fall where he violently crashed into a car. It has mismanaged its speed downhill and made a straight on a turn. He was transported to the emergency hospital and is suffering from a slight pneumothorax and broken ribs, pelvis and sacrum.
