A 40-year-old foetus has been found inside an elderly woman who went to hospital complaining of abdominal pains. The 82-year-old woman was thought to be suffering from gastroenteritis but an x-ray at Bogata's Tunjuelito Hospital discovered the foetus. The rare medical phenomena is known as lithopedion or stone baby and happens when the foetus does not develop in the uterus but higher up in the body.
